Lots Has Happened...
I have been horrible about blogging, it is not one of my talents. So with that said, whomever might be reading this, please forgive me for the posts that are not in order by date as well as the not so cute sides and backgrounds. All I can figure out is how to write a post, add a picture and publish, the rest of the cuteness and stuff is up to the computer and what it wants to do. With that, here are some pictures of our little family in 2013!
We Adopted!!!
We have been extremely blessed to have Rylan placed in our family. We love Rylan so much and can't imagine our lives without her. She was truly meant to join our family and we thank our Heavenly Father for placing her in our arms.
Words can not express our gratitude and love for Rylan's birth mom, Jenna. Back in December 2011 Jaran and I were approved to adopt, which meant our profile went live online! In August 2012 Jenna contacted us via email and met with us in September. We got to know one another very well. We loved Jenna and wanted her to pick whomever she felt was the right family for Rylan. On November 30, 2012 Jenna told us she picked us to be Rylan's parents! Jenna is so amazing and creative. She had this banner made for us. She also gave us balloons, sonogram pictures, and an adorable Christmas tree decoration with ornaments that had all of our names on it (Jaran, Deborah, Jenna, Spikelynn and a blank one for baby) this was all her way of telling us she picked us! What an amazing young woman Jenna is, we just think the world of her!
In January, before Rylan was due, Jaran, Spikelynn, and I took pictures with Jenna out in the freezing cold temperatures :/ We wanted Rylan to have pictures of her birth mom when she was pregnant so she could see just how beautiful she was when carrying Rylan. Jenna had become a part of our family and we wanted family photos with her.
January 24, 2013 at 4:20 PM Rylan entered this world weighing 6.12 pounds and laying 18" long. She was born in the St. Francis hospital in Colorado Springs in Pueblo county. Jenna was in the hospital about 11 hours and she gave birth ALL NATURAL WOW!
On January 26, 2013 we took you home and couldn't put you down!
