Christmas pictures

After deciding we would send out Christmas cards, we asked our good friend and photographer to take some family pictures for us. The only bad thing was we asked her after Thanksgiving which meant those extra holiday pounds made it a little more difficult to bend and squat for poses.

The holidays are always a great time to get with family. Thanksgiving was spent with Deborah's family in California and Christmas was spent with Jaran's family in Utah.
During Thanksgiving we not only had a fabulous feast, but we went rock climbing as a family, this proved to be quite the adventure. Not only were all of my nieces and nephews trying something new, but one of my nieces was cut on her legs due to a falling rock. My niece and our dog, Spikelynn, were both hurt, but both were super brave and endured the pain without any tears.

Christmas was also full of fun and lots of good food to eat. One of Jaran's family traditions is to cook meats using fondue pots. After which, dessert is served and it always consists of melted chocolate and cake...mmmmm. We also had another family holiday favorite, French onion soup! No one could be upset about bad breath that night we ALL had onions. ;)

Family is very important to us, which is why we feel blessed to be a part of two really awesome families!
