 Cirque Shanghai was way cool, we recommend it to ALL! After watching this show, we're going to quit our jobs to become bike riding trapeze artists, who jump through fiery hoops.

But of course we're eating sushi, what else would it be haha

In May, Jaran and I ran our first 5K, it was a run for adoption, which is, of course, near and dear to our hearts! We both thought we were going to die, but I am happy to report we are both alive and well. We celebrated our run with some delicious sushi afterward! The coolest thing about the run was the free shirt we each got ;) Spikelynn was a little sad she didn't get one.

Trip to the Gran Manzana

In December, we traveled to NYC with Jaran's company to ring the closing bell at Nasdaq!

After a night of hanging out at the Shake Shack with the Morrises, we woke up at 5am (that's 3am MST) to see the Today Show.  Deborah got to shake Al Roker's hand.

We also took a carriage ride through Central Park.  It was minus 100 degrees outside so we had to wear every article of clothing that we brought.

And how could we not visit the Apple store in the Big Apple?!

Wild Animal Sanctuary

So there's a Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, which is pretty cool.  They rescue mainly large cats (tigers, cougars, lions), but also have bears and wolves.  We spent two hours on the ~1/2 mile walkway that goes over the habitat.  We were lucky to go on a feeding day, which consisted of employees throwing frozen meat to the animals.

Bought a House!!!

After years of shopping for a home, we saved enough money for a down payment.  We closed on our home on February 29, 2012 (Leap Day).  Deborah is most excited about the new home smell and Jaran is excited about having his own garage.  Spikelynn loves the backyard and running up and down the stairs.
